Austin Cryotherapy Woman in Spa

Austin’s CryoStudio offers premiere and unique recovery therapy services for athletes and active individuals as well as aesthetic and health & wellness benefits to the general population.

As the first cryotherapy studio to open to the public in the United States, CryoStudio of Austin has been a pioneer in providing cryotherapy services to clients in central Texas since 2010.

CryoStudio services are efficient and effective. One of the first four units installed in the United States, the CryoSauna is a revolutionary and cutting-edge technology.

Our mission is to provide a natural, safe, non-invasive and effective therapeutic program to clients to aid in athletic performance, general fitness, appearance, recovery and health & wellness by promoting and stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.

Austin cryotherapyCryotherapy is the local or general use of low temperatures in medical therapy. The term “cryotherapy” comes from the Greek cryo meaning cold, and therapy meaning treatment. Cryotherapy has been used as early as the seventeenth century.

In whole body cryotherapy the body is exposed to ultra-low temperatures (-200 to -240 F). The client is placed in a cryogenic sauna/chamber for a short duration of 1.5-3 minutes which lowers the client’s skin surface temperature significantly and stimulates receptors. Whole body cryotherapy was first utilized in Japan in 1978 to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Studies conducted over the last two decades in Europe have established it as a powerful treatment for inflammatory disorders and injuries.

Client Testimonial:

“I am an endurance athlete and ice baths have been a regular part of my regime of workouts. I would do ice baths after some of my longer workouts. This year I decided to race in the inaugural Texas Ironman this May for my 3rd Ironman race. During the training I started to use the Austin CryoStudio instead of my regular recovery methods.

I was so surprised at the effects the CryoStudio had after my workouts. I no longer had to hassle with the ice and time to take an ice bath. All I had to do was stand in the Cryo chamber for 2 ½ min! It was so convenient and quick that I could actually get a quick recovery method in!

In all my long training leading up to my Ironman race, I used the Austin CryoStudio. I found that all my aches and pain normally associated with ironman training was little to nonexistent. I was very happy with the results from Austin Cryogenic Studio. With their help I was able to toe the line injury free!

Thank you Austin CryoStudio!”
