9/11 Memorial Climb

There were 110 stories in each Twin Tower, 220 combined. Although there is no set number that I can find, the average individual stairs within a flight of stairs(story) seems to be 20. Mt. Bonnell has 99 stairs that lead to the top of the highest point in all of Austin. That equals to 4.95 stories per climb, we’ll call it an even 5. In order to reach the equivalent of running up both Twin Towers … a grand total of 220 stories one would need to climb Mt. Bonnell 44 times!!!

YEAH, THATS WHAT WE DID!

We met atop Mt. Bonnell at 8:00am on Tuesday 9/11 and had an “intermission/halftime” as we held a moment of silence at 8:46am (the time the first tower was struck) to pay tribute to all those innocent brothers and sisters we lost on that tragic day eleven years ago as well as for every life thats been taken since then as a result of those attacks…

Then…. WE FINISH STRONGER THAN WE STARTED.

Hope to see you next year for the Bigger Faster Stronger Training’s 3rd Annual 9/11 Memorial Mountain Climb in 2013!

We couldn’t be happier for CryoStudio clients Trey Hardee and Leo Manzano on their silver medals in the London 2012 Olympics – and we cannot wait to be a part of their training recovery needs gearing up for Rio 2016.

Two time world champion and now Silver medalist Decathlete Trey Hardee.

Distinguished distance runner and Olympian Leo Manzano showed an unbelievable come from behind finish to clench the silver medal in the 1500m.

Congrats to both amazing athletes from CryoStudio of Austin!
